Ron Nelson has over 40 years in the Commercial Real Estate Industry with 3 different Sioux Falls Companies. In 1986, Don Dunham hired Ron from the advertising industry where he spent his first 12 years in real estate. His next move was merging his commercial group with Bender Commercial. In 2007, Ron started Nelson Commercial Real Estate (NCRE).

From shopping center management & redevelopment to placing over 250 retail sites, Ron has helped sell and acquire over $250 million of properties in various real estate categories and asset classes. This includes land acquisitions & dispositions, industrial projects, investment properties, many restaurant and businesses of every description.

A South Dakota native, Nicole takes pride in serving the same communities she’s called home her entire life. She joined Nelson Commercial Real Estate in 2019, initially managing the company’s administrative, marketing, and accounting functions. After years of supporting transactions and gaining valuable insight into the industry’s operations, Nicole transitioned into full-time brokerage and serves as a Broker Associate, licensed in both South Dakota and Minnesota.

Nicole’s early career was in the commercial insurance industry, where she managed complex healthcare accounts as a licensed Property and Casualty Account Manager. This experience laid the foundation for her client-focused approach in real estate. She’s known for her professionalism, precision, and ability to bring a personal touch to every deal she’s part of.

Outside of work, Nicole is a proud mom to four daughters and can often be found coaching their sports or cheering them on from the sidelines. She also loves to travel and seeks out hikes across the country that challenge both body and mind.

As an Associate Broker at Nelson Commercial Real Estate, I leverage my extensive experience in sales management and business development to help clients achieve their real estate goals.  I am passionate about building strong relationships with clients and delivering exceptional service. 

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from St. Lawrence University, which has provided me with a solid foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving. I am always eager to learn new skills and stay updated on industry trends.

I spent 25+ years in the television broadcast industry.  Six of those years were spent as General Manager at KDLT-TV.  For 13 years I was the publisher of Coffee News, that little brown paper available at restaurants.  I also enjoyed working at the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce securing new memberships and selling ads in Chamber News magazine.

My wife Laurie and I have two grown children.  Together we love to cook (and eat).  My secret dream is to beat Tiger Woods in a sudden death playoff at the Sanford International golf tournament.
